Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ love coming into the world and into our lives. In years past, we have shared God’s love by providing beautifully wrapped Christmas presents to foster children in our county. This year, we will still be sharing God’s love with these children, but due to Covid, we will not be able to give wrapped presents. Instead, we have been asked to provide Target and Walmart gift cards for these families. The cards will be distributed by our county Social Workers. Many of these foster families are struggling in these hard times, and these cards will provide a gift or toy, or help with much needed practical items like food, toiletries or diapers. If you would like to participate, please send a $50 check made payable to LUMC, with “Adopt an Angel” in the memo line (955 Moraga Rd., Lafayette, CA 94549). Please make sure that your check arrives by November 20. We will use all the money collected to buy the gift cards to be distributed. OR, if you want to avoid check-writing and the U.S. Mail, you can give online by clicking here. Your generosity is sure to brighten a foster child’s Christmas! Questions?
